Damlos is a municipality in the Ostholstein district in Schleswig-Holstein . Altdorf, Koselauermühle and Gut Sebent as well as Lübbersdorf-Kleinsthofsiedlung are located in the municipality.

Geography and traffic

Damlos is located in a wooded and meadow-rich area about 5 km north of Lensahn and the junction of the A 1 / E 47 of the same name . Oldenburg in Holstein is about 7 km north of Damlos .

history

Numerous barrows from the Neolithic and Bronze Age attest to a prehistoric settlement of the municipality. In 1928 a grave that was built around 2800 BC Was opened.

The place name is derived from the old Polish "Dabolazy" and means oak clearing.
