Bahar Kizil
Bahar Kizil (born October 5, 1988 in Freiburg im Breisgau ) is a German singer , songwriter and dancer . She became known as a member of the girl group Monrose .
Life
Bahar Kizil (Turkish spelling: Bahar Kızıl) is one of three daughters of a family who immigrated from Turkey and who still lives in Freiburg today. At the age of twelve she began classical ballet training . She received guitar lessons at the Jazz & Rock Schools in Freiburg . During her high school years she sang in four different bands. From autumn 2009 Kizil lived with her boyfriend in Berlin. After a year she moved back to Freiburg. In 2012, Kizil decided to move to Hamburg to join her management team. After dropping out of school in Freiburg, she made up her Abitur at the evening school in front of the Holsten Gate . In 2015 she began studying marketing in Berlin and moved back to her family in Freiburg the following year. After the end of Monrose in 2011, she worked as a saleswoman in a clothing store and as a waitress.
Career
2006-2011: Monrose
In 2006, Kizil took part in the German edition of the casting show Popstars ( ProSieben ) and became one of the three members of the band Monrose , which was put together in the fifth season and had six top ten hits in the German charts and whose albums were just as successful. The hits Shame , Hot Summer and Strictly Physical are among the band's most successful songs .
In addition to her work for Monrose, Kizil also composed herself. For example , she wrote and produced the single Memories , which was released in July 2009, with Cristóbal Gálvez Moreno from Room2012 for the benefit of the Federal Children's Hospice Foundation . In the musical Die 10 Gebote (2009) by Dieter Falk and Michael Kunze , which premiered in January 2010 as part of the RUHR.2010 - European Capital of Culture , Kizil appeared as a soloist in the female lead role of Zipporah (Moses' wife). The readers of the German edition of the men's magazine FHM voted Kizil third in the “100 Sexiest Women in the World” in May 2009. Alongside Jan Köppen, Kizil presented 13 episodes of the Staraoke karaoke show produced by Cartoon Network .
Solo projects and appearances since 2012
In April 2012 she sang a duet with the Turkish singer Rafet el Roman at the "Turka" festival. She also presented her first Turkish-language single. On May 27, 2012 she was in the ZDF television garden and presented the song Marching Over You . On June 5, 2013, their first single Drank was heard for the first time on the online radio portal You FM . On June 16, 2013, the video for Drank was shown for the first time on VIVA Neu.
In 2013 she took part in the documentary soap Promi Shopping Queen together with Ingrid van Bergen , Jessica Stockmann and Charlotte Karlinder . On September 13, 2013, Kizil released their second single Medusa in collaboration with the rapper Nitro and the heavyweight boxer Manuel Charr aka "Diamond Boy" . In April 2014, Kizil played the role of singer Tania Levy in the play The Scarab and the Pharaoh's Horse in Hamburg's Speech Works. In September 2014, she was seen on The Perfect Celebrity Dinner .
With two songs from her debut album Bullets of Love , Kizil applied for a wildcard for Unser Song for Austria to represent Germany at the Eurovision Song Contest 2015 . However, the NDR declined her participation on the grounds that she could not convince with her songs and that the wildcard was intended for newcomers and young talents.
In 2017, Kizil was a candidate for the second season of the dance show Dance Dance Dance , which is broadcast on RTL. Her dance partner was ex- No Angels member Sandy Mölling . Together they reached second place behind Luca Hänni and Prince Damien .
In 2019 Kizil announced the formation of her band Traumfrequenz, which she forms together with producer Jonathan "Johnny" Reichling and rapper Jonathan 'JJ' Jäkel. The first single was released in February 2019, Ohne Dich . The single Hundred Thousand followed in March 2019 .
