from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Bayfront Park is a temporary motorsport racetrack that was established in the US metropolis of Miami in the state of Florida in 2002 and 2003 . Runs for the Champ Car Series and the American Le Mans Series (ALMS) took place on the street circuit located directly on the Atlantic .

The route length was 2,478 kilometers (1,540 miles) and was driven counterclockwise. Due to the narrow route and the different road surfaces, the route was considered to be very demanding.

Until 1995, races for the Champ Car Series were also held in Miami on another street circuit in Bicentennial Park .
