Parish before the separation on January 1, 1850

Bernex-Onex-Confignon has been a large community in France since 1793, the year when the previously Savoyard Confignon was taken over . In 1816, with the peace treaty negotiated at the Congress of Vienna, it was assigned to the canton of Geneva in Switzerland . In 1850 it was divided into the new communities of Bernex and Onex-Confignon . In the following year Onex-Confignon split into Onex and Confignon.
