Pregny-Chambésy (officially Pregny until 1952 ) is a municipality in the Swiss canton of Geneva .

history

The parish includes the village of Pregny (mentioned in 1113 as Priniacum ) and the hamlets of Chambésy-Dessus and Chambésy-Dessous (mentioned in 1277 as Zambezi ).

From 1353 to 1601 Pregny belonged to Savoy , with an interruption at the Bern interlude between 1536 and 1567. It then passed to France. In 1815 the community came to the canton of Geneva.
