Choulex is a municipality in the canton of Geneva in Switzerland .

The municipality is located south of Lake Geneva and includes the street village of Choulex and the hamlets of Bonvard, Briffod, Chevrier, La Capite and Miolan.

history

From the end of the 14th century to 1798, Choulex belonged to Savoy , apart from the Bernese conquest from 1536 to 1567. From 1798 to 1816, Choulex was a municipality with Meinier . Then Choulex came to the Canton of Geneva as an independent municipality.
