Avusy is a municipality in the canton of Geneva in Switzerland .
The municipality includes the villages of Avusy-Village, Athenaz, Sézegnin and the hamlet of Champlong.
history
The village was mentioned as Avussie in 1260 . While Geneva was awarded Chancy and Avully in the Treaty of Paris in 1749 and Cartigny in the Treaty of Turin in 1754 , Avusy , which was previously under Savoyard rule, came to the Kingdom of Sardinia in the latter treaty . In 1816 Avusy finally came to the canton of Geneva as the municipality of Avusy-Laconnex-Soral . In 1847 Avusy became independent.
