Soral is a municipality in the canton of Geneva in Switzerland . It borders the Swiss municipalities of Bernex , Avusy and Laconnex , as well as the French municipalities of Saint-Julien-en-Genevois and Viry (Haute-Savoie) .
After Soral was incorporated into the canton of Geneva in 1816, the village of Soral was part of the municipality of Avusy-Laconnex-Soral . Laconnex-Soral separated from Avusy in 1847 , before Soral became an independent municipality in 1850.
