Perly-Certoux is a municipality in the canton of Geneva in Switzerland .
The parish includes the villages of Perly and Certoux.
history
Perly was mentioned in 1124 as Perliacum , Certoux as Sartoux .
The community was on the historic road between Geneva and Lyon . It was conquered by the Bernese in 1536 , before it passed to Savoy in 1567 as part of the commune of Saint-Julien-en-Genevois . In 1816 the villages of Perly and Certoux passed to the Canton of Geneva. The municipality was divided up, while Perly and Certoux now belonged to Switzerland, Saint-Julien-en-Genevois became part of France.
