history
The district office of Velburg was formed as part of the Bavarian administrative reform of 1862 from the area of the district court districts of Parsberg and Kastl . The seat of the district office was in the city of Velburg , which today belongs to the district of Neumarkt in the Upper Palatinate . On January 1, 1880, the district office was dissolved. Its communities were assigned to the district offices of Neumarkt in der Oberpfalz and Parsberg .
