The constituency Werra-Meißner - Hersfeld-Rotenburg (constituency 169) is a Bundestag constituency in Hesse . The constituency includes the two North Hessian districts of Hersfeld-Rotenburg and Werra-Meißner . The constituency is considered an SPD stronghold.
Election 2017
The 2017 Bundestag election will take place on Sunday, September 24, 2017. In Hessen , 20 parties applied with their state list. The Alliance of German Democrats withdrew their application. The violet one was rejected by the state election committee because the required two thousand signatures for support were not presented. Thus 18 parties apply with their state lists in Hesse. A total of 353 applicants are running on the state lists, less than a third (114) of them women.
