The constituency of Wetterau I (constituency 177) is a Bundestag constituency in Hesse . The constituency of the Wetteraukreis includes the communities Bad Nauheim , Bad Vilbel , Butzbach , Echzell , Florstadt , Friedberg (Hessen) , Karben , Münzenberg , Nidda , Niddatal , Ober-Mörlen , Ranstadt , Reichelsheim (Wetterau) , Rockenberg , Rosbach vd Höhe , Wölfersheimand Wöllstadt . Until the federal election in 1976 the constituency was called Friedberg and then until the federal election in 2009 Wetterau . For the 2013 federal election , Hesse received an additional constituency; In this context, the old constituency Wetterau was reduced and in Wetterau I renamed.

Election 2017

The 2017 federal election took place on Sunday, September 24, 2017. In Hesse , 20 parties had applied with their state list. The Alliance of German Democrats withdrew their application. The violet one was rejected by the state election committee because the required two thousand signatures for support were not presented. Thus 18 parties applied with their state lists in Hesse. A total of 353 applicants ran on the state lists, not quite a third (114) of them women.
