The Burg Hornberg is an Outbound hilltop castle on the Hornberg south of Killingen , a district of Ellwangen in Ostalbkreis in Baden-Württemberg .

The castle was about 1.4 kilometers south of the village of Killingen. About one kilometer to the southwest is the castle stables of Mohrenstetten Castle and about 2.1 kilometers to the south is Schönberg Castle .
history
In the years 1245 and 1262 a "Konrad von Hornsberg" was mentioned. In the 13th century, the building known as the Burgstall belonged to the brothers Wernher, Siefried and Kun von Killingen . On March 12, 1256, Wernher von Siefried exchanged his part. On October 31, 1259, Kun von Killingen renounced his part of the castle stable.
