The Daihatsu Consorte was a compact class car based on the Toyota Publica KP30 and the first car to be created in collaboration between Daihatsu and Toyota. The model was available as a two- and four-door sedan. He was the successor to the Daihatsu Compagno . From this he also took over the 1.0-liter gasoline engine. The power was transmitted to the rear axle via a four-speed manual transmission. In 1971 the 1.2-liter Toyota 3K-B engine replaced the 1.0 liter. In 1974 the Daihatsu Charmant expanded the Daihatsu range and thus only a successor to the 3-door version was developed for the same size. The result was the Daihatsu Charade , which replaced the Consorte in 1977.
