The Daihatsu Luxio is a minivan produced by Astra Daihatsu Motor in Indonesia . It went on sale for the first time on February 26, 2009. The car is based on the Daihatsu Gran Max , which is designed more as a commercial vehicle. Spread over 3 rows of seats, there is space for a maximum of 8 people, with the two middle seats in the 2nd and 3rd rows being more suitable for children. The rows of seats in the rear can be folded down and dismantled. An anti-lock braking system is only available in the more highly equipped models, which include an air conditioning system that can be controlled separately for the driver and front passenger, as well as rotating front seats. A CD radio with MP3 function is part of the basic series standard, as are seat belts with belt tensioners on all seats, power steering and central locking .

The engine used is the 1500 cm³ DOHC 3SZ-VE VVT-i with 4 cylinders and an output of 109 hp. The engine is also used in the Daihatsu Gran Max and Daihatsu Terios . A 5-speed manual gearbox or a 4- speed automatic gearbox are available, each with a gearshift lever installed on the dashboard. In Indonesia: 4,582 units were sold in 2009 and 5,982 units in 2010.
