It was introduced in 2006, was based on the Daihatsu Cuore platform and has been sold in Japan as Daihatsu Mira Gino since 1999 . The Trevis was only available as a four-door model. The name of the vehicle is derived from the Trevi Fountain in Rome . Sales in Germany were discontinued in spring 2009 ; In 2010 there were still a total of 41 new registrations.
design
The retro design of the vehicle is striking . The Daihatsu Trevis is similar to the classic Mini , but according to the factory it is a retro version of the Daihatsu Compagno . Due to the restrictions of the Japanese kei car class, the Trevis is taller than it is wide; cars in this class may not be more than 3.4 meters long and 1.48 meters wide.

Between 2006 and 2010, 4,067 Daihatsu Trevis were newly registered in Germany. 2007 was the most successful sales year with 1,743 units.
