The Mira Cocoa is a small car from the Japanese automaker Daihatsu .

On August 17, 2009, Daihatsu Mira Cocoa began selling in the Daihatsu home market. The small car in the Kei Car category is based on the Daihatsu Mira , but has its own body. The model replaced the Daihatsu Mira Gino , which was offered in Europe as the Daihatsu Trevis . Similar to the Daihatsu Move "Latte" (see Latte macchiato ), the name "Cocoa" ( English for cocoa ) is intended to convey a relaxed atmosphere, which is intended to appeal to female buyers in particular.

The Mira Cocoa is powered by the three-cylinder KF-VE gasoline engine with 43 kW (58 PS), the output of which is delivered to the front wheels via a CVT or 4- speed automatic transmission and optionally as an all-wheel drive . The comfort equipment includes a CD radio with MP3 function, an on-board computer and a rev counter as standard . In addition to front and side airbags , an anti-lock braking system is also standard equipment.

In 2011 the second generation KF engine replaced the previous one in the 4WD version and brought an improvement in fuel consumption.

The revised engine from the Daihatsu Miraisu with a standard start-stop system has been in use since April 2012 . The body floor has also been modified in order to achieve lower air resistance. Since then there have been taillights with LED technology and a multi-information display is also standard. To promote sales, the Mira Cocoa L has also been available since then, a more simply equipped variant at a low cost price.
