The Daihatsu Gran Move is a five-door minivan or compact van from the Japanese manufacturer Daihatsu . It is based on the Daihatsu Charade Shortback and was introduced in Germany in April 1997 (G303). In summer 1999, then there was a facelift of the model (G301). The last new cars found their buyers in 2003, after the production stop in 2002.

Changes made in 1999:

  • the only petrol-consuming engine variant grows from 1499 cm³ to 1590 cm³ and has a horsepower of more than 91 hp
  • with 126 Newton meters it is now seven more than before
  • Gran Move is being extended by four centimeters due to the modified shape of the bumpers
  • Gear ratio is changed
  • Turn signals turn white
  • new grill

The renewed Gran Move has the following features: The engine consists of four cylinders arranged in line with a displacement of 1590 cm³ and an output of 67 kW (91 hp) at 6000 rpm. The torque is 126 Nm at 3600 rpm, with the car having front-wheel drive and a turning circle of 9.8 m. The trunk is 400 l and can be expanded to 850 l by folding down the rear seat bench. The tank has a capacity of 50 l regular petrol (91 RON), although it should be noted that the display is rather imprecise. The Gran Move is 4100 mm long, 1640 mm wide and 1580 mm high. Its empty weight is 1065 kg and it can be loaded with up to 420 kg. Thanks to an impact sensor, the doors are unlocked and the hazard warning lights switched on in the event of an accident.

About the naming of the Gran Move - in Germany the minivan was sold under the name Gran Move. In the home country of Japan, as well as in numerous other countries, the car was offered under the name Pyzar. In Great Britain the first series (G303) was called Grand Move, the second series (G301) was then called Pyzar.
