Daniela Fally (born February 1, 1980 in Pottenstein ) is an Austrian opera singer ( coloratura soprano ).

Life

Fally finished her singing studies with honors at the Vienna University of Music and Performing Arts in June 2005 , where she studied opera singing with Helena Łazarska , lied and oratorio with Edith Mathis , after having previously studied theater studies , musical training and private acting training with final stage exams (also with distinction). She has been on stage since she was 19, initially as an actress, later in musicals and finally as an opera singer. She also won several awards.

Fally had her beginnings at the side of Felix Dvorak at the Stadttheater Berndorf : “There I was the girl for everything. I did everything from lighting to sponsorship! And another important step was my engagement at the Stadttheater Baden , where I had my first speaking roles. ”This was followed by an activity at the Stadttheater Mödling , which was also directed by Dvorak at the time.

Her operatic debut was as Zerlina in Mozart's Don Giovanni in Switzerland. In summer 2005 she played the Bronislawa in Carl Millöcker's begging student at the Lehár Festival Bad Ischl , from autumn 2005 she was a member of the ensemble of the Vienna Volksoper for four years , where she was able to develop an extensive repertoire across all genres.

International career

The artist first made her debut in 2007 as Zerbinetta at the Klagenfurt City Theater . It took just under three years, but since the 2009/10 season the singer has been part of the ensemble of the Vienna State Opera, where she has performed as Zerbinetta, Sophie in Rosenkavalier , Oscar in Un ballo in maschera , Rosina in Barbiere di Siviglia , as well as the Italian singer in Capriccio , as Sophie im Werther and Adele in der Fledermaus could be seen and heard. In 2015 Fally made her debut at the Klosterneuburg Opera as Gilda in Rigoletto and sang Zerbinetta in Paris and Sophie in Tokyo. Her repertoire also includes Norina in Don Pasquale , Gretel in Humperdinck's Hansel and Gretel and Titania in Britten's A Midsummer Night's Dream .
