Valkhof Festival
The Valkhof Festival (formerly de-Affaire ) is a seven-day open-air festival that takes place annually in Valkhofpark in Nijmegen , the Netherlands .
Alignment
The festival was founded in 1994. It mainly performs rock and pop bands . The focus is increasingly on still unknown groups of indie music , singer-songwriters and folk rock and pop, as well as a few nationally and internationally known bands . Well-known artists such as The Notwist (2005), Animal Collective (2007) and Deerhoof (2010) have also appeared in the past . Every year around 25,000 visitors come, there are over 100 artists and there are three stages.
