action
In the film, the well-known classic story of Little Red Riding Hood (in the film, the US version of the fairy tale is affected) is modified a little and turned into a crime thriller .
After the events known from the fairy tale have taken place to the grandmother's house, the local forest police (all animals) cordon off this as a crime scene. Police chief Grizzly then hands over all interrogation measures to the frog detective Nicky Flippers , who interrogates all those involved one after the other. Here it turns out that the figures do not quite correspond to their originals: Little Red Riding Hood proves to be a quick-witted girlie with martial arts experience, the wolf as an unveiling reporter with the hyperactive squirrel Twitchy as a partner, the lumberjack is from Germany (more precisely from Bavaria ) Original takeaway operator with acting ambitions and the grandmother turns out to be an extreme sports freak.
With each description of one of the four, the viewer becomes more and more aware of the context of the plot: in the fairytale forest, more and more bakeries have to close after a mysterious thief steals all the recipes. Only Little Red Riding Hood's grandmother, a well-known baker, has been spared so far. After Little Red Riding Hood and the wolf initially suspect each other, Flippers, after evaluating all the stories behind the villain's plan, reveals it: it is the hare Boingo who has gathered a band of winter sports-loving henchmen around him and with the stolen recipes the power in the forest wants to usurp. When Boingo wants to kill Little Red Riding Hood with a bomb, the fairy tale actors get together and free the girl. Grizzly and Flippers end up just in time to arrest Boingo and his gang.

"Crazy cartoon variation of Grimm's fairy tale, trimmed for a youthful zeitgeist, which is not always stylish, but sometimes entertaining in a sympathetic and subversive way."
