Egon Primas (born May 19, 1952 in Niedergebra ) is a German politician ( CDU ). He was a member of the Thuringian State Parliament from 1990 to 2019 .

education and profession

From 1968 to 1971 Primas completed vocational training with a high school diploma as an assembly construction worker and then studied to become an engineer for building materials technology until 1975. He then worked as a department head in the Nordhausen Building Construction Combine and, from 1982, as a production manager in the regional road administration.

From 1987 to 1990 Egon Primas was district secretary and district manager of the Nordhausen district association of the GDR CDU .

He is deputy CDU district chairman in the Nordhausen district , CDU parliamentary group chairman in the district council and was deputy parliamentary group chairman of the CDU in the Thuringian state parliament. In 2012 he ran for the district election in the Nordhausen district and was defeated by Birgit Keller (Die Linke) with 44.5 percent in the runoff election.

Since the state election in Thuringia in 1990 , Primas was a member of the Thuringian state parliament until 2019. He always entered the state parliament as a directly elected member of the constituency of Nordhausen I. In the state elections in Thuringia in 2019 , he no longer stood as a direct candidate, did not win a mandate at number 25 and left the state parliament.

Memberships

Primas is the federal chairman of the East and Central German Association and its state chairman in Thuringia. He is also chairman of the Thuringia regional association of the Federation of Expellees . He is also chairman of the Friends of Thuringia- Mordovia .
