Elisabeth Kanettis , also Elizabeth Kanettis , (born October 28, 1988 in New York City ) is an Italian - American actress .

Life

education

Elisabeth Kanettis was born in New York City in the United States and grew up in a family of musicians who spoke three languages, German, English and Greek. After returning to Europe, she first lived in Bolzano in South Tyrol . After attending elementary school in Pettnau in the Innsbruck-Land district , she attended the Academic Gymnasium Innsbruck from 1998 , where she gained her first acting experience at the school's own theater group and graduated in 2007 . From 1997 to 2007 she also studied piano with Ana Dimova at the Conservatory in Innsbruck .

In the 2007/08 academic year she studied philosophy at the University of Innsbruck . In 2008 she began studying theater, film and media studies at the University of Vienna , which she completed in 2013 with a diploma thesis on The Embodiment of Stories: the vocal and linguistic presence in the figure constellations of Robert Lepages "Lipsynch" with Monika Meister as Mag. phil. completed. In 2009 she began a second degree in English at the University of Vienna. From 2007/08 to 2011/12, she also completed dance training in Latin American and standard dances at the Uniontanzsportclub (UTSC) Forum in Vienna and took part in national and international dance competitions.

She received her acting training from 2011 at the Krauss Drama School in Vienna , from which she graduated in 2014. She completed further master classes and acting coaching at the Atlantic Acting School in New York (2013), with Susan Batson (2016), Frank Betzelt (2017), Sophie Molitoris (2018) and Michaela Rosen (2019).

During her acting training she played the role of Juliet from 2011 at the Wiener Festwochen in Kommune der Truth and Compartment City , at the Max Reinhardt Seminar and in 2013/14 at the Theater Drachengasse in Romeo and Juliet are dead . In 2016 she also played the role of Pippi Longstocking at the Berlin Children's Theater and the Philippine in the Nestroy-Posse love stories and marriage matters at the Reichenau Festival .

Movie and TV

After a few short films published in 2016, she embodied the recurring role of Nicki Stuber in the television series Trakehnerblut by ServusTV (in ARD Gestüt Hochstetten ) in 2017, directed by Andreas Herzog and Christopher Schier .
