The Eselsburg is an Outbound hilltop castle on a 294 m above sea level. NN high hilltop 500 meters northwest of the district Rollshausen of the municipality Lohra in the district of Marburg-Biedenkopf in Hesse .
Presumably the castle was built in the 12th century by the Lords of Rollshausen, who were mentioned in 1256 as de Rolshusen in the record book of the Deutschordensballei Hessen as their ancestral seat. Nothing has been preserved from the former castle complex.
