The 2020/21 FIA Formula E World Championship will be the seventh season of the FIA Formula E World Championship and the first to be officially held as a World Championship. It starts on January 16, 2021 in Santiago de Chile and ends on July 25, 2021 in London . The season includes fourteen races.

Changes 2020/21

The races in London , Monaco , New York City , Paris , Rome , Sanya and Seoul , which were canceled last season due to the COVID-19 pandemic , will take place again. The race in Marrakech and the race in Jakarta , which was planned in the preseason but also canceled, are canceled .

Sam Bird leaves Virgin Racing after six years and moves to Jaguar Racing , where he replaces James Calado . He will be succeeded by Nick Cassidy , who is making his championship debut.

Pascal Wehrlein is moving from Mahindra Racing to Porsche , where he will succeed Neel Jani . Also Jérôme D'Ambrosio leaves Mahindra. His successor will be Alexander Sims , who is changing teams after two seasons at BMW i Andretti Motorsport .
