Frank Clark (* 14. June 1993 in Bakersfield , California ) is an American American football poker players. He currently plays the defensive end position for the Kansas City Chiefs in the National Football League (NFL). With them he won the Super Bowl LIV .

college

Clark played college football at the University of Michigan for the Michigan Wolverines from 2011 to 2014 . In his freshman year, he reached the 2012 Sugar Bowl , where he scored one of the Wolverines' two touchdowns after an interception . In the following off-season , Clark was suspended from the football team after allegedly stealing a MacBook Air . After a few weeks, however, he was allowed to participate in the training again. On November 16, 2014, Clark was arrested for domestic violence and later suspended from the football team.

Clark was selected in the second round of the 2015 NFL Draft as the 63rd player by the Seattle Seahawks . Clark made his first tackle in Week 3 against the Chicago Bears . He made his first sack on November 29, 2015 in the game against the Pittsburgh Steelers . After playing only 32.43% of defensive snaps in his rookie season, he saw a huge spike in game time in 2016 when he played 63.15% of defensive snaps. He scored ten sacks, which after Cliff Avril with 11.5 were the second most of the team. In 2017 he scored nine sacks and forced two fumbles. In 2018 he was able to achieve 13.0 sacks. After the season, his rookie contract expired, whereupon the Seahawks occupied him with the non-exclusive franchise tag .

On April 23, 2019, the Seahawks exchanged the rights to Clark along with a third round pick of the 2019 draft to the Kansas City Chiefs , who in return gave their first and third round pick in 2019 and their second round pick in the 2020 NFL draft . Clark received a five-year contract from the Chiefs for $ 105.5 million, of which $ 63 million is guaranteed.

Personal

As an eighth grader, he moved from Los Angeles to Cleveland to live with his father. His father and three other family members died in a fire on January 30, 2018.
