The 2018/19 season of the Regionalliga was the eleventh season of the Regional Football League as the fourth-highest division in Germany. From the 2018/19 season four teams have been promoted to the 3rd division. This season, the champions of the regional leagues Southwest, Northeast and West each provided a direct climber. The champions of the Regionalliga Bayern and Regionalliga Nord played in a promotion play-off for the fourth promotion place.

Regional leagues

• Regionalliga Bayern 2018/19 with 18 teams from the Bavarian Football Association (BFV)
• Regionalliga Nord 2018/19 with 18 teams from the North German Football Association (NFV)
• Regionalliga Nordost 2018/19 with 18 teams from the Northeast German Football Association (NOFV)
• Regionalliga Südwest 2018/19 with 18 teams from the Football Regional Association Southwest and the South German Football Association (SFV) with the exception of the Bavarian Football Association
• Regionalliga West 2018/19 with 18 teams from the West German Football Association (WDFV)

Promotion game

The champions of the regional leagues Bavaria and North took part in the promotion game to the 3rd division . The winner of the promotion game with a return leg rose.

If teams do not participate, or if no team from a regional league is athletically qualified, byes should be given.

The following teams qualified for the promotion games:

• Champion of the Regionalliga Bayern: FC Bayern Munich II
• Champion of the Regionalliga Nord: VfL Wolfsburg II

The draw for home rights in the two legs took place on April 27, 2018.

The first leg took place on May 22, the second leg took place on May 26, 2019.
