Preliminary round

At best, Denmark had been given outsider opportunities in Group A. France and Uruguay just seemed too strong. In the first game Uruguay was defeated. The second game against France defeated Senegal ended in a draw. Then you met the reigning world champion France, who absolutely had to win in order to reach the next round. Denmark won this game 2-0 and won Group A.
