Giorgio Hesdey Tuinfort (born April 30, 1981 in Paramaribo ) is a Dutch musician , songwriter and record producer with Surinamese roots. He became known at the end of the 2000s, among other things, through the author participations and productions of The Sweet Escape ( Gwen Stefani ), Right Now (Na Na Na) ( Akon ) or Sexy Bitch ( David Guetta ).

Career

Tuinfort's international career started in 2000 with the participation of the writer Nobody for the Dutch band Re-Play. The single immediately placed itself in the Dutch charts , where it stayed for 19 weeks and recorded its highest chart price at position 24. Until the end of 2005 Tuinfort produced and wrote mostly for local artists, with Het land van… (Lange Frans & Baas B) celebrating his first number one hit in the Netherlands. Internationally, Tuinfort became known in 2006 through his collaboration with the American rapper Akon . Through this, Tuinfort met the American singer Gwen Stefani in the same year for whom he wrote and produced the world hit The Sweet Escape . The single reached the top 10 in Germany, the United Kingdom and the United States, among others. In Germany and the United Kingdom, the single even achieved gold status . In the following years, through Akon, Tuinfort came into contact with Michael Jackson ( Wanna Be Startin 'Somethin' 2008 ), Nelly ( Body on Me ) and Lionel Richie ( Just Go ), with whom he celebrated small international chart successes.

In 2009 Tuinfort and Akon worked together with the French DJ David Guetta , resulting in the single Sexy Bitch . This was the first time Tuinfort reached the top of the chart outside of his home country. Sexy Bitch reached the top of the charts in Germany, Austria and the United Kingdom, among others. The single has so far received gold twice, platinum 22 times and diamond once and has sold around 5.5 million times. Since then, Tuinfort has been involved in almost all of Guetta's productions. They celebrated their greatest success in 2011 with the Australian singer Sia and the single Titanium . The single has sold around seven million times worldwide. Aside from working with Guetta, Tuinfort also worked with Timbaland ( Pass at Me ), Natalia Kills ( Mirrors ), Jessie J ( LaserLight ), Britney Spears ( It Should Be Easy ), Mr. Probz ( Nothing Really Matters ), Ariana Grande ( One Last Time ), The Black Eyed Peas ( #wheresthelove ), Robin Schulz ( Shed a Light ) or Martin Garrix (including Scared to Be Lonely and So Far Away ).
