Hans-Heinrich "Hannes" Demming also Holsken Hannes (born May 25, 1936 in Münster , Free State of Prussia ) is a German teacher , actor , Low German author and translator .

Life

Demming grew up in Munster, where he was enrolled in school . During the Second World War he had to change schools several times because of the evacuation . During this time he attended elementary schools in Germete , Stockum and Neuenkirchen as well as the Dionysianum high school in Rheine and the Paulinum high school in Münster, where he passed his Abitur in 1956 .

From 1956 to 1963 Demming studied archeology , English , German , Greek , Latin , pedagogy , philosophy and psychology at the Westphalian Wilhelms University in Münster . During his studies he was a student trainee at the LVA Westphalia and a research assistant at the Institute for Classical Studies at the University of Münster. In 1962 he passed his first and in 1964 his second state examination.

From 1963 until his retirement in 2000 Demming was a teacher at the Augustinianum Greven , the Paulinum Münster, the Kardinal-von-Galen-Gymnasium Münster and the Gymnasium Petrinum Recklinghausen .

Private

Demming is dedicated to maintaining the Low German language and publishes Low German poetry and prose . From 1978 to 2007 he wrote under the pseudonym Holsken Hannes Glossen for the Münstersche Zeitung . He has also been a freelancer for various radio stations since 1962 , where he works as a speaker and translator for Low German radio plays . He is also an actor at the Münster Theater and the associated Low German Stage . Hannes Demming is also active in various television productions , such as The Second Home by author and director Edgar Reitz and in the television series Die Anrheiner by WDR television, as well as in private, commercial and historical cinema and film productions, such as 1000 Rozen alongside Marianne Rogée , Haus Kummerveldt a web series from 2019 directed by Mark Lorei and much more.
