Heidi Schuster-Burda
Heidi Schuster-Burda (born July 10, 1967 ) is an Austrian politician ( ÖVP ) and communications consultant. Schuster-Burda has been a member of the Vorarlberg state parliament since November 20, 2019 .
education and profession
Heidi Schuster-Burda first completed an apprenticeship as an industrial clerk at the Höchst furniture fittings manufacturer Grass , before she was responsible for marketing and sales tasks at the Lustenau company Obrist Engineering . In 2008, Heidi Schuster Burda made a communication, event and project design agency called Schuster Burda Promotion independently, and they work closely with VIA3 Communications of Martina Rüscher worked.
Political career
Heidi Schuster-Burda first came into contact with politics when she was asked by her uncle, then Supreme Mayor Werner Schneider, in the early 2000s whether she would run for the ÖVP in the municipal council elections. From the local council it was finally so as a member of the Municipal Council Municipal Board elected. To this end, she also completed the “Political Management and Participation” course at the state's own educational institute Schloss Hofen in Lochau . After Schneider's resignation as mayor, Heidi Schuster-Burda was elected the new Supreme Vice Mayor by the municipal council on April 5, 2013 in the course of the election of his successor, Herbert Sparr. Since 2013 she has also headed the ÖVP women's movement in Höchst and in the Bregenz district .
In the state elections in Vorarlberg 2019 , Heidi Schuster-Burda ran on the seventh place on the list of the Vorarlberg People's Party in the Bregenz electoral district and thus became the candidate for successor in the Bregenz electoral district. She was sworn in as a member of the Vorarlberg state parliament on November 20, 2019 after Martina Rüscher resigned her mandate after she was elected as the new regional councilor .
Private life
Heidi Schuster-Burda is the mother of three daughters from her first marriage as well as a son and stepmother of a stepson from her current marriage to the owner of an advertising agency in Dornbirn. She lives with her family in Höchst .
