Roland Breakfast (born February 8, 1958 in Bregenz ) is an Austrian politician ( ÖVP ) and manager. Breakfast has been a member of the Vorarlberg state parliament since 2009 and is currently the ÖVP club chairman in the state parliament.

education and profession

Breakfast grew up in the Vorarlberg state capital Bregenz , where he attended elementary school from 1964 to 1968, secondary school from 1968 to 1972 and commercial school from 1972 to 1975. After graduating from commercial school, Roland Frühstück decided to take the Matura as part of the commercial academy for employed people, also in Bregenz. In 1979 he graduated from the commercial academy and began to study German and sports as part of a teaching degree at the University of Innsbruck . In 1984 he was also his studies with the graduation to Mag. Phil. to lock.

Breakfast began his professional activity parallel to the commercial academy for professionals at ADEG headquarters in Lauterach from 1975 to 1979, where he worked as a buyer.
Breakfast got his first job as a teacher at the commercial academy in Schwaz , where he taught for a year before he switched to the HTL Rankweil , and thus back to Vorarlberg. In 1993, Frühstück's professional path led back to his hometown when he accepted a teaching position at the Bregenz Federal High School in Blumenstrasse . Since 1995 he has also been active in various management positions at the handball club Bregenz Handball .
Breakfast interrupted his teaching career in 2006 when he became a full-time politician. After the trainer of Bregenz Handball was unexpectedly dismissed in February 2012, Roland Breakfast took over his position as sports director on February 24 and was able to lead the Bregenz team to the Austrian champions in the same season. Since September 2015, Frühstück has held the honorary position of president at the Austrian series champion.

Political career

Roland Frühstück began his political career in 2000 when he was elected to the ÖVP as a city councilor and member of the city council in the course of the municipal council and mayoral elections in Bregenz . As a city councilor, he held the property and sport divisions until 2005, and after being re-elected this year, he was responsible for construction matters as well as forestry and agriculture until 2010. After the state elections in Vorarlberg in 2009 , Roland Breakfast was elected to the Vorarlberg state parliament as part of a replacement mandate for the then governor Herbert Sausgruber . On December 7, 2011, he was elected as the successor to Rainer Gögele, who was appointed to the Vorarlberg state government, by the members of the ÖVP Vorarlberg as their club chairman in the state parliament. He still holds this position today.

Personal

Roland Breakfast has been married since July 8, 1988 and has a son and a daughter. He lives with his family in Bregenz. His son Lukas (* 1991) is active as a handball player at Bregenz Handball .

In March 2012, breakfast was confiscated because of driving while intoxicated. Both he and his political companions called this a serious mistake, but ruled out a resignation.
