Eva Hammerer

Eva Hammerer (born October 25, 1975 in Lauterach ) is an Austrian politician ( GREEN ) and a trainee lawyer . Hammerer ran for the state elections in Vorarlberg 2019 in the Bregenz constituency on list number four of the Greens district list and was thus elected to the Vorarlberg state parliament. She was sworn in as a member of the state parliament in the constituent session of the state parliament of the 31st legislative period on November 6, 2019.

Career

Eva Hammerer grew up in the Vorarlberger Hofsteig community in Lauterach , where she attended elementary school from 1981 to 1985. From 1985 to 1994 she graduated from the Bundesgymnasium Gallusstraße in Bregenz , where she also graduated . Following this, Eva took the Hammerer Studied law at the University of Innsbruck in which she in 2008 with the graduation ceremony for Master of Law ( Mag. Iur. Graduated). Back in Vorarlberg, Hammerer completed her legal practice from 2008 to 2009 and then became a trainee in a law firm in Hard. However, she did not subsequently pass the bar exam, which is why she continues to work as a trainee.

In 2014, she also entered politics in the Lake Constance community of Hard , where Hammerer had settled with her family after completing her studies. In the municipal council and mayoral elections in 2015 , she ran as the top candidate for the Harder Greens. In this election, the Greens were able to gain almost nine percentage points, at the same time Eva Hammerer came second in the direct mayor election behind the directly elected ÖVP mayoral candidate Harald Köhlmeier. After the election, Hammerer became a member of the Harder council as a councilor .

In the state elections in Vorarlberg 2019 , Eva Hammerer ran for the Greens in fourth place on the district list in the Bregenz electoral district as well as in second place on the state list. After the Greens were able to achieve two basic mandates in the election in the Bregenz constituency and the first-placed Green spokesman Johannes Rauch accepted the mandate in the Feldkirch constituency and Eva Hammerer was able to overtake the Bregenz deputy mayor Sandra Schoch , who was running for third place, due to her good preference vote result, she moved over the Basic district mandate in the Vorarlberg state parliament . The swearing-in as a member of the state parliament for the 31st legislative period took place on November 6, 2019. The Green Landtag Club elected Eva Hammerer as deputy chairwoman of the club on October 15th.

In terms of content, she is responsible for the areas of development policy / international trade agreements, education / science / research (including childcare and kindergarten), the judiciary, the Court of Auditors, the Ombudsman's Office and children / youth (aid) in the Green Parliamentary Club.

Private life

Eva Hammerer is married and has four children. She lives in Hard with her family.
