Christina Metzler

Christina Metzler (born September 10, 1996 ) is an Austrian politician ( ÖVP ) and student. She was a candidate for the state elections in Vorarlberg in 2019 and was sworn in as a member of the Vorarlberg state parliament on November 6, 2019 .

Career

Christina Metzler grew up in the Vorarlberg Hofsteig community in Lauterach and attended HLW Rankweil , where she was head of school and graduated from high school. Metzler then began studying political science at the University of Innsbruck , which she supplemented shortly thereafter with a study of sociology . Since April 2019 she has been working as a freelance moderator alongside her studies. In her home community Lauterach, Christina Metzler is involved in the community councils for youth and integration.

In the state elections in Vorarlberg 2019 , Metzler, who is a member of the Young People's Party (JVP) and became a member of the ÖVP-related student union group, AktionGemeinschaft (AG) during her studies , ran for the Vorarlberg People's Party in the Bregenz electoral district , where she was the youngest candidate to date each for the ÖVP a Landtag mandate could be elected to the Landtag. The swearing-in as a member of the state parliament for the 31st legislative period took place on November 6, 2019.
