IC 4202 is a spiral galaxy of the Hubble type Sbc in the constellation Coma Berenices in the northern sky . It is an estimated 319 million light years from the Milky Way and about 160,000 light years in diameter.
In the same area of the sky are u. a. the galaxies NGC 4979 , IC 854 , IC 4198 .
The object was discovered by Stéphane Javelle on June 20, 1895 .
