IC 4216 is a spiral galaxy of Hubble type Sc in the constellation Virgo to the ecliptic . It is estimated to be 123 million light years from the Milky Way and about 70,000 light years in diameter.
In the same area of the sky is u. a. the galaxy NGC 5066 .
The object was discovered by DeLisle Stewart in July 1899 .
