history
Infosys was founded on July 2nd, 1981 in Pune by 6 computer scientists with $ 250 starting capital and is headquartered in Bangalore .
With more than 228,000 employees and sales over 11.9 billion US dollars, Infosys is one of the largest IT companies in India (as of 2019).
Infosys co-founder Nandan Nilekani was personally commissioned by Indian President Manmohan Singh to organize the world's largest digital census, which was carried out in 2010 and evaluated in 2011 . Nilekani built a state start-up company especially for this purpose.
