Ingeborg Bachmann Prize 1992

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Ingeborg Bachmann Prize 1992 was the 16th competition for the literature prize. The event took place in the last days of June 1992 in the Klagenfurt ORF theater of the Carinthia regional studio .

An amendment to the statutes should attract more established authors to the competition this year. Success was limited, Peter Schneider withdrew his acceptance and Ginka Steinwachs (in the 1985 Carinthian Industry Prize) received little applause. Werner Liersch commented: “ Word gets around. In the future, the Bachmann competition will really have the character of a youth event. "

Overall, the texts did not meet the expectations of the jury, which was mainly composed of newly appointed judges, so that at the end of the second day of reading it was considered to forego an award.
