The Interstate 380 (abbreviated I-380 ) is a short Interstate Highway in the San Francisco Bay Area in northern California , the Interstate 280 in San Bruno with the US Highway 101 near the San Francisco International Airport connects.
The highway was previously named the Portola Freeway after the Spanish explorer Gaspar de Portolà . Today it is also known as the Quentin L. Kopp Freeway after prominent State Senator Quentin Lewis Kopp .
The route is part of the California Freeway and Expressway System .
