Iridescent is a song by Linkin Park and was released as a single on the 2010 album A Thousand Suns and 2011 with the film Transformers 3 .

history

The song was released on A Thousand Suns in September 2010 . April 2011 Mike Shinoda announced that Iridescent would become the fourth single from the album. It appeared in an abbreviated version as a single for the Transformers film a month later, and in June that one.

background

The title translates as shimmering and is taken from the instrumental demo for A Thousand Suns. The text is about not giving up hope and letting go of all "sadness and frustration". The music video for the song is based on the story The Land of the Blind and has effects like in the video for Waiting for the End , as well as references to the film ( Transformers 3 ) and the Last Supper .
