Powerless is a song by American alternative rock - band Linkin Park . It was released as a promo single from their album Living Things . It is only available as a download single from the Japanese iTunes Store .

style

In contrast to most of the Living Things album , the song is very calm. It is less in the direction of synth rock or pop . Only piano , electric guitar and some electro sounds are used.

Music video

To Powerless there are two different promo videos, both of which are each made in cooperation with another project.

The first music video, also a trailer for the film Abraham Lincoln Vampire Hunter , is a compilation of scenes in which the band plays the song and scenes from the film. You can also see the lyrics of Abraham Lincoln ( Benjamin Walker ) being written in ink on a piece of paper from time to time. The music video (3:04 min) is slightly shorter than the original (3:45 min) because part of the song is left out.

The second music video, which lasts only two minutes, supports the Power the World campaign by the Linkin Park aid organization Music for Relief . It is the second music video after Not Alone that was produced for Music for Relief.

additional

  • The song is the soundtrack to the film Abraham Lincoln Vampire Hunter
  • In the album the song is by the Interlude Tinfoil initiated
  • Tinfoil was also the working title of Powerless
  • The Enferno Remix was the eighth and final track in the Living Things Remixed series, where each month those who had pre-ordered Living Things received a remix by email. The same remix appeared on the remix album Recharged .
