János Hári ( Hungarian Hári János ; born May 3, 1992 in Budapest ) is a Hungarian ice hockey player who has been under contract with Fehérvár AV19 in the Austrian ice hockey league since July 2020 .

Career

János Hári went to Sweden as a teenager, where he played in youth teams in Hammarby , Färjestad and Skåre until 2010 . He then moved to Canada, where he first played in the LHJMQ for the Club de hockey junior de Montréal , who drew him in the first round of the 2010 CHL Import Draft as the twelfth player , but already during the current season as a league competitor Huskies de Rouyn-Noranda changed. After a year overseas, Hári returned to Sweden in 2011, where he spent two years for MODO Hockey from Örnsköldsvik in the Elitserien . In 2013 he moved to the seven-time Finnish national champion Helsingfors IFK . With the team from Helsinki he took part in the European Trophy 2013 , but was bottom of the table in his preliminary round group with just one win out of eight games and could not qualify for the finals.

In July 2014 he returned to MODO Hockey before moving to Leksands IF in the second-rate HockeyAllsvenskan for the 2015/16 season. With the club he rose to the Svenska Hockeyligan in 2016 .

In June 2017, Hári signed a one-year contract with Düsseldorfer EG , but was sorted out by the coach before the start of the season and released from his contract on September 12th by mutual agreement. He then joined Alba Volán Székesfehérvár , with whom he played in the Austrian ice hockey league . After starting the 2019/20 season with the Pelicans in the Finnish Liiga , he switched to the Austrian Ice Hockey League on loan to EC Red Bull Salzburg in December 2019 , where he ended the season. Since 2020 he has been active again for Alba Volán Székesfehérvár.

International

For Hungary , Hári took part in the junior division I tournaments of the U18 Junior World Championships in 2009 and 2010 as well as the U20 Junior World Championships in 2009 (Division I) and 2012 (Division II).

In the senior division, he was in his country's squad at the World Championships in Division I in 2012 , 2013 , when he was voted the best player of his team, 2014 , 2015 , when the Magyars managed to return to the top division six years after relegation, 2017 , 2018 and 2019 . He also represented his colors in the qualifying tournaments for the Olympic Winter Games in Sochi 2014 , Pyeongchang 2018 and Beijing 2022 .
