Jewish community of Niedervisse
There is evidence of a Jewish community in Niedervisse in the Moselle department in the French region of Lorraine from around 1750.
history
The Jewish community in Niedervisse consisted of 82 people in 1808 and the synagogue was built in 1780. Of the approximately 200 inhabitants of the village in 1905, 94 were of Jewish faith. The most common family names were: Cerf, Lion and Mayer. The Jewish residents lived mainly from the cattle trade and trade in other products.

Many gravestones ( Mazevot ) are still preserved in the old Jewish cemetery in Niedervisse .
