A Jewish community in Waldwisse in the Moselle department in the French region of Lorraine was established in the 19th century.

history

The Jewish community of Waldwisse was founded around 1837. At this time a synagogue was built, which was destroyed in 1940 by the German occupiers . The site of the former synagogue has not been built on until today. The Jewish community has belonged to the Israelite consistorial district of Metz since it was founded .
