The Jewish community of Rémilly used the synagogue in Tragny until their own synagogue was built in 1885 . The synagogue in Rémilly was inaugurated on July 31, 1885; it was desecrated during World War II and sold in 1959. The tablets of the law that were on the roof of the synagogue are now in the entrance area of ​​the town hall. From 1808 the Jewish community belonged to the Israelite consistorial district of Metz .

National Socialist Persecution

16 Jewish residents were deported and murdered by the German occupiers in 1942/43 , including seven children.
