A Jewish community in Uckange in the Moselle department in the French region of Lorraine was established by the 18th century at the latest.

history

The Jewish community built a synagogue in Rue des Juifs ( Judengasse ) as early as 1780 , which was closed in 1848 due to dilapidation. Then a new synagogue was built, which no longer exists today. The Jewish community had belonged to the Israelite consistorial district of Metz since 1808 .
