A Jewish community in Denting in the Moselle department in the French region of Lorraine had existed since the 17th century at the latest.

history

The Jewish community of Denting counted in 1793, when the area of France annexed was 50 people. The parishioners visited the synagogue in neighboring Boulay for worship . However, they had their own Jewish cemetery on Landstrasse. The exact date of its construction is not known. The Jews in Denting had belonged to the Israelite consistorial district of Metz since 1808 .
