A Jewish community in Créhange in the Moselle department in the French region of Lorraine had existed since the 17th century at the latest.

history

The Jewish community of Créhange already had its own Jewish cemetery (Rue de Puttlingen ) in 1688 . It is not known whether there was a previous building before the construction of the new synagogue , which was expanded in 1868. This synagogue was sold by the dissolved community in 1924. The Jewish community had belonged to the Israelite consistorial district of Metz since 1808 .
