A Jewish community in Luttange ( Lüttingen ) in the Moselle department in the French region of Lorraine was established by the 18th century at the latest.

history

The Jewish community of Luttange owned one of the oldest synagogues built before the French Revolution . The synagogue, built in 1786, was abandoned by the community in 1923 and then converted into a residential building. From the outside, two round windows still remind of the original synagogue building.

From 1808 the Jewish community belonged to the Israelite consistorial district of Metz .

The Jewish community in Luttange buried their dead first in Flévy and later in Ennery .
