A Jewish community in Courcelles-Chaussy in the Moselle department in the French region of Lorraine existed since the 17th century.

history

The Jewish community of Courcelles-Chaussy was first mentioned in 1669. A synagogue was built in 1863 , which was sold and demolished in 1963. Stones from this neo-Romanesque synagogue are still preserved, including the tablets of the law . The Jewish community had belonged to the Israelite consistorial district of Metz since 1808 .

The Courcelles-Chaussy Jewish cemetery is on the road to Servigny-lès-Raville .
